2014 - Finder started all 30 matches for the Lions... Led the Lions with 1016 assists, 8.91 assits per set... Finished the season with 62 kills, 275 digs, and 52 assists (two solo, 50 assisted)... Finder matched her season high 47 assists twice (East Central and Pittsburg State)... Against Northwest Missouri, recorded her season high seven kills along with 40 assists... Recorded 16 digs against Tarleton State...Named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll with a 3.89 GPA.
2013 - Started in 29 of the 30 matches for the Lions...led the Lions in assists with 856, 8.0 assists per set...finished third on the team with 23 service aces...Fender also recorded 161 digs and 29 blocks (7 solo, 22 assists) on the season...set a season-high 53 assists at Drury on Sept. 25 and vs. Southeastern Oklahoma on Oct. 11...recorded 18 digs vs. South Dakota Mines on Oct. 12...tallied three solo blocks vs. Union in Monticello, Ark. on Sept. 14.
2012 - Played in all 30 matches and all 100 sets for the Lions at setter as a freshman... led Southern in assists with 580 averaging 5.8 assists per set while recording a .351 average...recorded a season-high 46 assists at home against Henderson State...finished third on the team in service aces with 17 and digs with 153... recorded 48 kills on the year to go along with 12 blocks (3 solo, 9 assists).
Prior to Southern - A two-year starter for the Lancers, Finder was an All-Conference, All-Metro and All-State winner in 2010 and was a first-team All-District and first-team All-State honoree in 2011. She was also an Academic All-State pick. Finder helped her team to a conference and district title in 2010. She turned around and improved on that as a senior, as she helped lead Lafayette to a district, sectional and state championship.
Personal - The daughter of Thomas and Maureen Finder, Abby is a pre-med/biology major at Southern. Her father played football at Missouri Southern, while she has an uncle that played baseball at Southern Illinois - Carbondale and her grandfather was a football player at Missouri.
