Biography

2017 - Played in all 18 matches while starting two of them between defense and center-midfield as a freshman...scored the game-winner against Northwest Missouri State (10/1) off a rebound scramble on the road...recorded 560 minutes as part of a defensive unit that played a role in eight shutouts and limiting opponents to 1.164 goals per match...added five shots with three on goal. 

Prior to Southern – Serna was a four-time letter winner at defender for the Lancers of Bishop Amat Memorial HS and Coach Memo. She also earned first team All-League honors during her sophomore season with the Lancers.
 
Personal – Karissa is the daughter of Nohemy Serna and plans to major in psychology at Southern.
