Missouri Southern State University Athletics

2022 - Ribares appeared in 11 games for the Lions off the bench as a midfielder ... Finished the season with one shot at Rogers State (Oct. 2) and played in 230 minutes ... Played in a season-high 50 minutes at Nebraska - Kearney (Oct. 16).

HS: Prepped at Mill Valley High School where she has been involved in Relay for Life, Cross County and Women's Soccer. This past season Ribares helped her team to a Regional Title and an appearance in the state playoffs. Currently a 4.1 GPA student and has been named on "A" honor roll throughout her high school career while also being awarded academic letters each year. 

Club: Has played for KC Fusion Academy and Legends Academy, making several State Cup playoff appearances and a Regional Presidents Cup playoff. Competing in the DPL and NPL leagues Ribares has been named honorable mention as a forward.

Why Missouri Southern?: I am excited to be a part of the Missouri Southern Program.  When looking at schools, Southern really stood out to me. Missouri Southern has an amazing Pre-Med program that really caught my eye, and I can't wait to experience it.  I like the close-knit Women's soccer team and the positive impact everyone has on each other.

Personal: Cecilia is the daughter of Sharlayne and Andy Borders. Has an older brother Nick Ribares and two dogs Sawyer and Kazi. When not in school or running around the soccer field, I love to spend time with friends and take time to travel.  In 2019 I organized a clothing drive and collected soccer uniforms and cleats to take to an orphanage in Haiti over Christmas break.
