2022 - Sonne appeared in 14 games for the Lions starting in 11 as a center back ... Finished the season with 934 minutes playing the full 90 minutes in four games.

HS: Norman North High School under Coach Trevor Laffoon.  As a junior, anchored a defense for a Norman North team that went undefeated on its way to the 2021 Class 6A Oklahoma State Championship and national high school ranking. Sonne played alongside fellow MSSU signee Hadley Horn on a Norman North team that allowed only 10 goals during their State Championship season. Sonne maintains a 3.8 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society.            

Club: Played for Oklahoma Celtic 04 with fellow MSSU signees Hadley Horn and Faryn Glass.  Competed for the last 3 years in the Texas Conference of the ECNL in one of the toughest club divisions in the country.  Team won Oklahoma State Cup prior to competing in the ECNL.  

Why Missouri Southern?: I chose MSSU mainly because of the coaching staff and the direction of the soccer program.  I am also very excited to play at MSSU with two of my Club teammates.

Personal: Abby is the daughter of Blake and TJ Sonne and the second oldest of six children.  She has two sisters, three brothers, three cats, and three dogs.  Abby enjoys spending time with her friends and tolerating her younger siblings.
