Brandon Myers is in his sixth year with the Athletic Training staff at Missouri Southern and was named the head athletic trainer prior to the 2022-23 school year. He works primarily with the baseball, women's basketball and football programs at Southern.Â
Myers worked as an athletic training assistant at MSSU in the 2018-19 seasons, as well as a volunteer in 2015-16. He worked for Freeman Health System prior to taking a permanent spot at Southern in November of 2019. Prior to his time in Joplin, Myers worked with the Har-Ber and Siloam Springs High School Districts to serve its student-athletes athletic training needs.Â
Myers earned a pair of degrees from Missouri Southern in both communication and health promotion and wellness, while earning his master of science degree in athletic training from the University of Arkansas. While at Arkansas, Myers worked with track and field/cross country, football, tennis and cheer and dance. Prior to Arkansas, Myers served an internship during the summer of 2014 with Freeman Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.Â
Myers and his wife Susan have three children, Jordan, Aiden and Madelyn.Â
