Biography

Prior to Southern
Barnett prepped at Grapevine Faith Christian School under coaches Matt Sayman and Trai Givens, where he was a four-year letterwinner in basketball. He scored more than 3,000 career points and helped lead the Lions to two state championships. Barnett earned First-Team All-State honors three times, was a four-time First-Team All-Conference selection, and was named District MVP once, District Offensive MVP once, and District Newcomer of the Year once.
