Prior to Southern
Weaver transfers to Missouri Southern from Tabor College, where he was named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week and earned KCAC All-Freshman Team honors. He averaged 8.7 points per game while shooting 50.5 percent (94-186) from the field and 24.4 percent (10-41) from beyond the arc. Weaver totaled 217 total rebounds (49 offensive, 168 defensive), averaging 8.0 rebounds per game, good for second in the conference, as well as his 34 blocks on the season, also good for second in the conference. Weaver also dished out 50 assists and grabbed 24 steals.

Weaver prepped at Edmond North High School under coach Scott Norris, where he was a three-year letterwinner in basketball. He earned All-Conference Honorable Mention and Academic All-Conference honors as a senior while helping Edmond North HS capture a state championship during his sophomore season and finish as the state runner-up as a junior.
