Hayden Wilson is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Missouri Southern men’s basketball program.
Wilson comes to the Lions after spending the 2024-25 season at Kansas Christian College, where he served as an assistant coach for the varsity men's basketball team and head coach of the junior varsity program. While on the sideline, the varsity team posted an 8-5 record and reached the regional championship game. In addition to his varsity responsibilities—which included game planning, scouting, and player development—Wilson helped three JV players transition to the varsity level and led two JV teams during the second semester.
In the summer of 2024, Wilson also coached with the Missouri 66ers AAU program, serving as head coach for the 15U team and assisting with the 16U and 17U squads. He was responsible for practice sessions, player workouts, and game preparation.
Prior to that, Wilson spent three years at Labette Community College. He began as a student assistant coach (2021-2023) before being elevated to full-time assistant coach for the 2023-24 season. During his time at Labette, Wilson played a key role in player development, opponent scouting, and recruiting evaluations. As a full-time assistant, he also developed and led strength training sessions and film study.
A native of Weir, Kansas, Wilson earned his associate degree in Exercise Science from Labette Community College in 2023 and is currently completing his bachelor's degree in Health & Human Performance from Fort Hays State University (expected 2026).
Wilson is the son of Chris and Lori Wilson and is the youngest of three siblings. He has two children, Jordan and Dylan.
