Against Emporia State (Oct. 22) ad at Missouri Western (Oct. 29) finished with seven tackles in both games for his season-high amount ... Recorded a TFL at Northeastern State (Sep. 10), against Central Oklahoma (Sep. 17), at #10 Pittsburg State (Oct. 1), against Lincoln (Oct. 8), ESU, at MWSU and at #11 Northwest Missouri (Nov. 5) ... Recorded a sack at NSU, against UCO, LU and at MWSU ... Recorded a quarterback hurry against #14 Nebraska - Kearney (Sep. 1), at #10 PSU and against ESU.

2021 - Readus appeared in five games for the Lions as a defensive end before an injury ended his season ... Finished with eight solo tackles, a tackle-for-loss and a sack along with three quarterback hurries and a pass break up ... Against Northeastern State (Sep. 11) picked up his sack that was a six yard loss as well ... Against Central Oklahoma (Sep. 18) picked up three tackles in the Lions win ... Against Nebraska-Kearney (Sep. 2) and Pittsburg State (Oct. 2) recroded two tackles in each game.

Prior to Southern - Readus comes to Southern from Tyler Junior College where he appeared in six games in 2020 for the Apache Indians finishing with nine tackles (six solo), 1.5 TFL's and a half of a sack to go with a fumble recovery ... Prepped at Anna high school for coach Wilkerson and was a four year letter winner for the Coyotes ... Was a two time Texas state power lifter while also being a regional track athlete and also qualified for state in wrestling.

Personal - Romel is the son of Alisha Readus and plans to major in business at Southern.
