Terrell Richardson

Terrell Richardson is in his first year on the staff at Missouri Southern and will coach the safeties for the Lions. 

Richardson comes to the Lions after serving two years as a graduate assistant coach for his alma mater East Carolina. With the Pirates, Richardson coached both the safeties and defensive linemen. As a defensive line assistant, Richadrson helped with game day prep, charging the defensive call, coached and developed the offensive scout team, while helping provide the scouting report each week. He also helped lead defensive tackle drills during practice. As an assistant working with the safeties, Richardson worked with the secondary and helped with film breakdown for safeties and corners. He would help coach and develop the offensive scout team and provide the scouting report each week. 

Prior to ECU, Richardson worked as an assistant coach working with safeties at Alma College in Michigan and also served as an assistant coach at Heritage High School in Wake Forest, NC. 

A standout player for the Pirates at East Central, he played four years at linebacker and safety before signing with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. During his senior season for the Pirates, Richardson turned in a team high 40 solo tackles after moving from secondary to inside linebacker during fall camp and finished the season with 63 total tackles, ranking second on the team. 

A native of Raleigh, NC, Richardson holds a bachelors degree in criminal justice from ECU and a masters degree in instructional technology education also from ECU.
