In year one, Misipeka saw one of his running backs, Charles West, set the MSSU record for receptions by a running back with 44 catches out of the backfield.

Prior to joining the Lions, Misipeka was a member of the Delaware State University football staff as Running Backs Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.  Misipeka coached Senior Brycen Alleyne who earn All Conference honors in the MEAC and upcoming freshman Michael Chris-Ike who earned New Comer of the Week.

In 2016 & 2017 Misipeka coached the running backs and was the International Recruiting Coordinator at Garden City Community College. He helped GCCC win the National Championship in 2016. In two years at Garden City, Misipeka coached and recruited six All-Americans, including Jamie Tago, Tra Minter, BJ Blunt, Charles West, Dedrick Mills & Bamidele Olaseni.

Before his tenure at Garden City, Misipeka joined the coaching staff at Silverado High School in Las Vegas Nev., under former National Football League quarterback Randall Cunningham in 2015. In his first year at Silverado, the team reached the state playoffs and was a game away from capturing the conference championship.

Before Silverado High School, Misipeka was defensive backs coach for two years at Farrington High School in Hawaii. During his tenure, the team was a two-time state championship runner-up, while the defensive unit was ranked in the top five in the state.
Misipeka started his coaching career in American Samoa at his alma mater Samoana High School as defensive coordinator. The team made the island wide championship game while he was on the coaching staff.  He also devoted his time to the youth, coaching in the American Youth Football of Samoa.

Prior to Coaching, Misipeka was the Player Development Officer for Field House 100 Recruiting and Pasefika International Sports Alliance, each a non-profit organization that assists student athletes with scholarship opportunities.  Both organizations help secure scholarship opportunities for athletes from American Samoa, Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, Nigeria, Europe, Canada and parts of the U.S. The organizations have assisted more than 200 student-athletes, including seven National Football League players and three college academic All-Americans.

Misipeka and his wife Tufi are from American Samoa and have seven children.
