Jake Medlock is in his first season with the coaching staff at Missouri Southern. He will be responsible for coaching the quarterbacks in the Green and Gold.
Medlock comes to the Lions after a year at Shorter University in Georgia where he coached wide receivers. He assisted in game plans, helped with recruiting prospective student-athletes, analyzing game and practice videos, while providing individual and small group instruction.
Prior to Shorter, Medlock spent two seasons at Sandalwood High School as the passing game coordinator, quarterback and wide receivers coach, as well as coaching running backs. While there, Medlock also was a quarterback trainer in the area, helping to develop multiple Division I talents in the Southeast.
Medlock played collegiately at both Division II Valdosta State and Division I Florida International. From there, he played professionally for teams both in indoor football, in Europe and the Canadian Football League.
A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Medlock has a degree in interdisciplinary studies from Florida International.
