Prior to FSCC, Steadman, a native of Derby, Kan., prepped at Derby High School for coach JB Nicholson and the Panthers. A two year starter and a three year letter winner on the baseball field, Steadman also started for two years on the basketball court. As a baseball player, he was an All-Conference and All-State seleciton as a senior, whiel picking up All-State honors in basketball after leading the league in assits and three point percentage.
