2011: Taylor saw significant action as a true freshman for the Lions in 2011 ... he appeared in 11 games and threw 7.2 innings, striking out seven ... He had one of his best outings against Missouri Western, striking out the side in a perfect inning of work in releif ... HE also had two strikeouts in 2.1 innings of work at Fort Hays on May 6. 

In High School: Was a three-year starter as a pitcher and catcher for Olathe Northwest HS. As a senior, Taylor earned All-Conference honors as a pitcher and a designated hitter ... In his junior season, he was all-conference as a pitcher after posting a 3-1 record with a 3.35 ERA. As a sophomore, Ryan posted a 2.86 ERA and led the Ravens to a regional championship in 2009.

Personal: Ryan is a pre-pharmacy major at MSSU. He is the son of Mike and Marcy Taylor. Ryan was born in Merriam, Kan. on July 2, 1992.
