2014 - Hoover made 11 relief appearances for the Lions, finishing with a 1.42 ERA in 12.2 innings pitched with 12 strikeouts... Struckout four without giving up a walk or hit in a 2.1 appearance against Lindenwood... Saw two innings of action against Drury, striking out two with only one hit... Held opponents to a .143 average and only gave up 5 hits and 3 walks... 

2013 - Hoover saw action in nine games as a sophomore ... he finished the season 1-0 with his lone win coming in an 11-6 win over Montana State - Billings ... he struck out 11 and walked just five in 9.2 innings of work ... He had his best outing of the season in relief at home against Emporia State where he threw 2.1 innings and struck out four, while walking none. 

Prior to Southern - Hoover is the younger brother of former Lion Kellen Hoover. He comes to Southern after a season at Mid-American Nazarene University. He will be a sophomore at Southern. Last year, Hoover, a right handed pitcher, threw 32 innings and finished the season with a 2-2 record, three saves and a 4.78 ERA, while striking out 31 and walking just 17. A native of El Dorado Springs, Mo., Hoover went to El Dorado Springs High School where he was a three year starter on the baseball diamond, while starting all four years in basketball and three years in football.
