2024Â - Ran a personal best 5k with a time of 17:56.2 at the RSU Distance After Dark on Sept 5 ... At the DII Central Region Championships, ran a personal best time in the 6k of 21:57.6m on Nov 9.
2023 - Ran a season-best time of 18:34.1m in the 5k on Sept 15 at the Southern Stampede ... On Nov 4 at the NCAA DII Central Region Championships, ran a season best time of 22:23.0m in the 6k.
Prior To Southern
Gunter transferred to Southern from Oklahoma Christian University, where she competed in cross country for the Eagles. At OCU, she earned two top-5 finishes, including an individual championship in the 3k at the OCU Star's Preview with a time of 9:49.30. Before college, Gunter was an eight-time All-State recipient in multiple events in track and field and cross country for West Plains Senior High School.

Jayna, the daughter of Alicia and Wes Gunter, is pursuing a degree in Business Administration at Southern.
