2025 - Ran in 5 meets. Posted a career best 5k of 18:49 at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival (10/4/25). Finished 15th at the SBU Bearcat XC Invitational (9/5/25).
2024 - Ran a personal best time of 19:31.2 in the 5k at the RSU Distance After Dark on Sept 5 ... At the NCAA DII Central Region Championships, ran a personal best time of 23:43.9 in the 6k on Nov 9.
2023 - At the DBU Old Glory Gallop, ran a season-best in the 5k with a time of 20:45.6 on Oct 15 ... Ran a season-best time of 24:38.3 in the 6k at the MIAA Championships on Nov 5.
2022 - Ran a personal best at the Rogers State Invite in the 4k with a time of 16:11.1 on Sept 1.
Prior to Southern
Nelson attended Liberty High School, where she earned three varsity letters in cross country and two in track and field. Her personal best times included 19:31.2 in the 5K and 23:43.9 in the 6K for cross country, along with 10:58.77 in the 3K (indoor) and 18:46.65 in the 5K (outdoor) for track. She earned All-Conference Honorable Mention in cross country during her senior year and graduated as the valedictorian of her class.
Personal
Zoe, the daughter of Paige and Steve Nelson, is pursuing a degree in Biochemistry and Physical Science at Southern. Her sister Hailey is also on the track and field and cross country roster.
