Prior to Southern - Bass prepped at Adrian High School where he was a four-year letter winner for coach Matt Davis as both a quarterback and defensive back ... throughout his career at AHS, Bass accumulated 22 receptions out of the backfield for 635 yards and eight touchdowns, while throwing for 1,675 yards on 87 completions and 16 passing touchdowns ... Bass had 277 career carries for 1,867 yards and 43 scores on the ground ... defensively, Bass had 115 career tackles with 14 interceptions and eitht tackles for a loss, including five fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles ... Bass was a three-time first-team All-Conference pick as a quarterback and defensive back, while being named the conference Offensive Player of the Year as a junior ... Bass also earned All-State honors as a defensive back as a sophomore, while picking up All-State honors as a punter and an athlete ... Bass was also a four-year letter winner on the basketball court, as well as three years on the baseball diamond ... Bass played for former Lion Tyson Basore who was his basketball coach. 

Personal - Bass is the son of Jennifer Cates ... he plans to major in accounting at Southern.
