Prior to Southern - Peoples was a four-year letter winner in cross country/track and field and three-year letter winner in basketball during her high school career at De Soto Senior High ... became an All-Conference athlete throughout all four years with three-straight first-team honors from her freshman to junior year while taking second-team All-Conference honors three times in cross country while taking first-team honors as a junior ... captured All-State as a freshman and sophomore in the 400 while being a part of the 2015 conference championship squad. 

Personal: daughter of Christin Colbert and Tory Peoples and plans on majoring in pre-pharmacy.
