2018 - Leighton saw action in 23 games for the Lions with 16 starts ... a versatile weapon, Leighton saw action as a DH, catcher and in the field ... He finished the season with 13 hits, seven RBIs, three home runs and two doubles, while scoring ten runs. 

Prior to Southern - (at Southwest Minnesota State) 2017 - Played in just five games with five starts ... hit .353 with three home runs and four RBIs ... also had two doubles, six hits and four runs scored. 

2016 - Named SMSU Most Valuable Player ... started 40 games at both right field and catcher ... led the squad with a .364 batting average with 12 doubles and seven home runs ... recorded a team-leading 33 RBIs ... belted two home runs vs. Wayne State (4/29) ... had three RBIs in six different games ... led the team with 13 multi-RBI games ... second on the team with 12 multi-hit games ... had a team season-high 19-game hitting streak.

2015 -Sat out season as a redshirt.

High School - 2014 graduate of Chanhassen HS ... two-year letterwinner ... led legion team during 2013 season with a .373 average ... also led team in hits and RBIs.
