Biography

2011 - Jackson saw action in eight games ... He had two carries for 21 yards and an average of 10.5 yards per carry ... he had a touchdown, as well as two tackles on special teams. 

2010 – Jackson saw action in eight games for the Lions … he had a rush for five yards and also played on kickoff coverage, garnering three tackles.

Prior To Southern – Jackson transferred to Southern from Kentucky State University.

In High School – Jackson prepped at Berkely High School in St. Louis where he lettered four times on the football field, while also running track and competing as a wrestler … He was a state champion his senior year in the 4x200m in track, while qualifying for the state meet as a wrestler in 2007…on the football field, Jackson was a second-team All-Conference selection as a running back and quarterback.

Personal – The son of the late Steve Jackson and Lisa Boyd … Mortez is a criminal justice major at Southern.
