2012 - Played in all 30 matches, with seven starts, Severns recorded 81 kills, 14 assists, and 150 digs on the year finishing third on the team in assists, fourth in digs and fifth in kills. Also recorded 20 blocks (15 assists, 5 solo) and had a reception average of .920. Recorded a season-high 14 digs in four different games while notching a season-high five blocks in the season-opener against Illinois-Springfield.
2011 - Played in 29 matches, while starting 17 for Coach Knight...recorded 93 kills, 12 assists, and 16 aces during her freshman year...Dani also had 41 blocks (38 assists, 3 solo) while recording 94 digs and had a recpition average of .958.
Prior to Southern - Severns played for coach Katy Grusing at Blue Springs HS ... A four-year letter winner for the Wildcats, Severns was a member of the Mo-Kansas All-Star Team, while helping Blue Springs to a second-place finish in the state tournament in 2009 and a second-place finish in districts this past season ... She was a second-team All-Conference pick this past season.
