2013: Hovis ran in three races for the Lions as a sophomore finishing 74th at the MIAA Championships running the 6k course in Pittsburg, Kan., in a time of 24:35.50...Also competed at the Chile Pepper Festival hosted by the University of Arkansas running the 5k course in a time of 20:24.3 and at the Jackling Jocks Invite hosted by Missouri S&T placing 43rd running the 5k course in a time of 20:26.31.

2012: Running in all seven meets for the Lions as a true freshman, Hovis finished 61st at the MIAA Championships where she completed the 6k course in 24:39.88 helping the Lions win the conference championship...Finished 114th at the Central Regional Championships running the 6k course at 23:51.0...Ran at the NCAA Championships finishing 225th completing the 6k course in 24:08.2...Finished 34th at the Missouri S&T Jackling Jocks Invite running the 5k in 19:29.26...Finished 61st at the Southern Stampede helping the Lions finish third as a team.

Prior to Southern: A four-year letterwinner at Farmington HS, Jet was a 2011 all-conference, all-district runner...helped lead her high school team to a 2nd place finish at the state meet
