In 2011: Played in 41 games, while starting 39, after suffering a broken thumb in the middle of the season..38 of the 39 starts were at the shortstop position...finished the season batting .285 with eight doubles, two home runs, and 23 RBIs...she was a perfect 1-for-1 in stolen bases.

At Cowley County: in 2009 earned All-region VI second team and All-Jayhawk Conference honorable mention...in 2010 earned a first team All-Jayhawk Conference nod while helping Cowley County to a undefeated conference title and a fifth place finish at nationals.

In High School: from 2006-08 was a first team All-league shortstop while earning the 2007 SEK player of the year and a 2008 4A All-state shortstop...also earned first team All-league honors in basketball for the Lady Trojans in 2007-08 and in volleyball in 2007.

Personal: a criminal justice major at Southern...born January 9, 1990 in Placentia, Calif...daughter of Ross and Torri Poteat...has four siblings, Miranda, Kaylena, Sarah, and James.
