Biography

Prior to Southern
Gilchrist transferred to MSSU from Temple College. Earned 2024-25 North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC) Honorable Mention honors as a freshman. Averaged 14.5 points per conference game, shooting 73.3 percent from the field, 77.8 percent from the free-throw line, 11.8 rebounds, and three assists. Scored 21 points in Temple College's 89-83 road victory over Ranger College (1/8/25). Tallied 17 points in a 96-85 Temple College loss to Navarro College (11/9/24). Missed the bulk of conference play due to injury. Played in 19 games over his freshman campaign with four starts. Averaged 11.6 points, 8.7 rebounds over 5.1 minutes to go with 11 steals, 23 blocks, 33 assists.
