Prior to Southern
Williams transferred to MSSU after playing three seasons at Bemidji State. Played in 63 career games for the Beavers, averaging 7.33 points, 3.19 boards and 2.66 assists. As a junior in 2024-25, played in eight games with seven starts while scoring 30 points, 19 rebounds and 13 assists. Made 25 starts as a sophomore in 2023-24, averaging 8.7 points at 41.8 percent including 36.9 percent on triples and 80.6 percent on free throws. Second on BSU in 2023-24 with 74 assists along with 94 rebounds, 22 steals and a block. Tallied a career-best 21 points against Minot State (12/1/23). Started in 30 games as a freshman in 2022-23, averaging 7.1 points on a 42.8 clip (38.8 percent from three) and a team-high 79.4 percent from the free throw line. Also had 88 rebounds 2.9 per game, 81 assists, 3 block, and 22 steals in 2022-23. Williams was a letter winner in basketball at Owatonna High School under Head Coach Josh Williams. Averaged 23 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals per game and was named Big Nine All-Conference and Steele County Co-Player of the Year as a senior. Averaged 23.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game on his way to being named the Owatonna Peoples’ Press Player of the Year as a junior. Also was a three-time Big Nine All-Conference selection and was also a letter winner in cross country at OHS.
