Prior to Southern
Ruffin transferred to MSSU from Lindenwood University. As a Lindenwood Lion, he played in 50 games over two seasons and averaged 2.92 points and 2.88 rebounds. Appeared in 19 games with a pair of starts in 2024-25. He scored a season-high 12 points against East-West University (12/4/24) after going 7-7 from the foul line. Grabbed a season-high five rebounds vs. Stonehill (11/17/24). Had a career-high six assists vs. UHSP (11/7/24). As a freshman in 2023-24, Ruffin made 19 starts over 31 total games and averaged 3.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals while playing 22.3 minutes per game. Ruffin’s best game of the season came against UT Martin (2/22/24), scoring 11 points on 5-7 shooting along with four rebounds and two assists. He led the team in steals (37) and was second in assists (49) and rebounds (110) in 2023-24. Was a two-time first-team All-State selection at Nixa High School where he totaled over 1,000 career points. Colin broke the program’s single season assist record and was the conference and district player of the year in 2022. Ruffin helped lead the Eagles to a state runner-up finish in 2022. Also was a two-time sports commission award finalist.
