JOPLIN, Mo. – Due to the expected heat in Joplin, Missouri, on Saturday, Sept. 5, Missouri Southern's home-opening football game against Upper Iowa has been moved to a 7 p.m., CT kickoff at Fred G. Hughes Stadium.
 
Originally scheduled for 6 p.m., CT the home opener has been pushed back an hour due to projected field temperatures exceeding established safety protocols.
