FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Missouri Southern track & field turned in another strong showing at the Arkansas Twilight on Friday, highlighted by four event victories and multiple NCAA qualifying marks.
The Lions' men's 4x100m relay team raced to a first-place finish in 40.31, while Keilee Johnson claimed the women's javelin title with an NCAA qualifying throw of 47.63m. Garrett Strange won the men's javelin at 65.75m and Cedric Pearson swept the throwing events with victories in the discus (54.97m) and shot put (18.67m), both NCAA qualifying marks.
Southern also saw standout performances from Zeke Galvicius, who placed second in the men's pole vault with a a personal-best and Missouri Southern program-record clearance of 5.36m, and Trace Wooldridge, who posted a season-best 17.57m in the shot put to finish third.
