CLAREMORE, Okla. — No. 7 seed Missouri Southern baseball (34-19) fell to No. 2 Seed Rogers State (40-14) with a final score of 3-1 Saturday at RCB Bank Sports Complex in the 2026 NCAA Division II Central Regional. Missouri Southern's lone run came from a seventh-inning home run, as both teams recorded seven hits each.
Rogers State took an early lead against Missouri Southern, scoring two runs in the first inning. Nathan Gutierrez doubled to left center and later scored alongside Zak Nelson on a double by Jake Mitchell, giving Rogers St. a 2-0 lead.
In the second inning, Rogers State added another run. Luis Fuentes walked and eventually scored on a sacrifice bunt by Nelson, extending the lead to 3-0.
Southern responded in the seventh inning when
