Lions Look Ahead: Apr. 27-May 3

JOPLIN, Mo. – Missouri Southern Athletics heads into a pivotal weekend with baseball and softball closing out regular season play, while track & field competes for conference titles at the MIAA Championships.

Baseball travels to Warrensburg for a three-game series against the University of Central Missouri, beginning Thursday at 6:00 p.m., followed by a 4:00 p.m. first pitch on Friday and a 1:00 p.m. finale on Saturday. The Lions will look to build momentum against a strong conference opponent as postseason play approaches.


Softball hits the road for a doubleheader at Pittsburg State on Saturday, with games scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. The Lions aim to finish the regular season on a high note in a key MIAA matchup.


Outdoor track & field will compete at the MIAA Championships from Friday through Sunday at Carnie Smith Stadium in Pittsburg, Kansas. Missouri Southern looks to turn in strong performances as athletes chase podium finishes and qualifying marks.
