Casey Wins Javelin Title to Lead Lions at Harding Invitational

SEARCY, Ark. — The Missouri Southern track and field teams opened competition Friday at the Stallion Transportation Harding Invitational with a strong showing in the javelin, highlighted by a win and multiple NCAA qualifying marks.

Adrianne Casey led the women with a first-place finish and personal-best throw of 50.88 meters, hitting the NCAA qualifying standard. Keilee Johnson placed third at 46.12 meters, also an NCAA qualifying mark, while Mackenzie Mayer finished fourth with a throw of 38.90 meters.

On the men's side, Manuel Campana placed third with a personal-best throw of 65.13 meters, earning an NCAA qualifying mark. Garrett Strange (63.42m) and Ethan Dias (62.07m) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, both reaching the NCAA standard, while Jackson Wahlgreen added a 10th-place finish at 55.81 meters.
