KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Missouri Southern's Michael Mulhollon was named the MIAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday.
 
Mulhollon went 1-0 this past weekend with a 0.00 ERA over his one MIAA series start against Northeastern State.
 
The junior from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, pitched 5.0 innings with a season-best and MSSU career-high 10 strikeouts over the game three finale to secure the series sweep of the Riverhawks.
 
The MIAA weekly honor is the first for Mulhollon in his career at Missouri Southern.
 
MSSU next host Drury in midweek action on Tuesday at Warren Turner Field. First pitch is 3 p.m., CT. The Lions then head to Maryville, Missouri, to face Northwest Missouri in a three-game series March 6-8.
