BOLIVAR, Mo. - Missouri Southern men's and women's cross country swept the 2025 Southwest Baptist Bearcat Invitational Friday morning at Bolivar Golf Course.
The men totaled 37 points to take first in the 4-mile race while the women's squad totaled 38 en route to the top spot on the podium in the 5K.
Jaden Deaton finished second overall (top runner attached to a team), crossing the finish in 19:26.72.
Kaden Cole also finished top-10 in 19:53.60 (eighth).
Lilah Genel (17:54.28) and
Kyla Weems (17:58.39) paced the women, finishing second and third, respectively.
All of the Lions men's and women's scorers placed top-16 Friday.
MSSU next hosts the Missouri Southern Stampede on Saturday, Sept. 20. The women's 5K will begin at 8 a.m., CT followed by the men's 8K at 8:45 a.m.
