DALLAS — Missouri Southern women's soccer picked up a strong road win on Thursday, shutting out Paul Quinn College 2-0 in a game highlighted by standout performances from Nathalia Luiz and Daniela Marquez.
With the victory, MSSU improved to 2-1 on the season and matched its win total from 2024.
Luiz assisted Marquez on the opening goal, before scoring on a free kick opportunity from outside the 18-yard box to secure the win.
For Marquez, the goal was her first in her career as a Lion.
Luiz finished with a personal best three-point outing (1g-1a).
The Lions next face Southwestern Oklahoma State University Sunday in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m., CT.
