Kansas City, Mo. – The MIAA announced its Women's Golf academic awards today, recognizing nine Missouri Southern Lions for their academic achievements during the 2024-25 academic year.
Highlighting the group was Missouri Southern's Lily Allman, who was one of just two women's golf student-athletes across the MIAA to earn all three of the Association's academic honors: MIAA Academic Honor Roll and MIAA Scholar-Athlete, as well as being selected All-MIAA, achieving a 4.0 GPA as a sport and recreation management major.
The nine Lions named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll are:
· Lily Allman
· Katarina Chynoranska
· Avary Eckert
· Iratxe Fernandez-Cano Aldasoro
· Maryn Harlow
· Caitlin Metcalfe
· Aida Nunez
· Gabrielle Rettinghaus
· Kyra Simon
To earn a place on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.00 or higher, as calculated for NCAA academic certification, and must have completed at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
Lily Allman and Katarina Chynoranska were also named MIAA Scholar-Athletes. To qualify, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.50 or better, meet the same attendance requirements, and must also receive All-MIAA honors during the current season.
Avary Eckert and Iratxe Fernandez-Cano Aldasoro received the MIAA Academic Excellence Award, which is reserved for student-athletes who maintain a perfect 4.00 GPA and meet the same certification standards as the other awards.
These awards do not include first-year freshmen or first-year transfers. The MIAA will announce its Newcomer Academic Awards for the 2024-25 academic year in late June.
