Indianapolis, Ind. – The Missouri Southern women's golf team has earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Central Regional Championship, as announced by the NCAA on Monday, April 28. The tournament will take place May 5–7 at KickingBird Golf Club in Edmond, Oklahoma. Established in the 2018-19 season, Southern is making its first-ever appearance at the NCAA Division II Central Regional Championship
The Lions are one of nine MIAA teams to qualify for the regional. Central Missouri secured the conference's automatic bid by winning the MIAA Women's Golf Championship, while Rogers State, Arkansas Tech, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Nebraska-Kearney, Northwest Missouri State, Washburn, Missouri Western, and Central Oklahoma each received at-large selections.
The Central Regional field features 18 teams from the MIAA, Great American Conference (GAC), and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), along with six individual qualifiers not attached to a qualifying team. All participants will compete across 54 holes of stroke play.
