Kearney, Neb. – The Missouri Southern women's volleyball team took on day two of the Rosella Meier UNK Fall Classic. Game three would be against the University of Mar Marauders and game two against the Chadron State College Eagles. The Lions fell to the Marauders 3-0 and the Eagles 3-0. Moving to a 0-8 overall record.
Game 3: Missouri Southern (0-6) vs. University of Mary (2-5)
Set 1: Missouri Southern 22 | Mary 25
The Lions would get a two-point lead from a four-point jump started from the
Amelia Neels kill and later aces;
Alana Moesch would record a kill. The Marauders would answer to take the advanatge from a rally. Missouri Southern would work from behind to close the gap and would close it to two points from a
Fernanda Merancio and Moesch block (22-20). Mary would snatch the last point for the set.
Set 2: Missouri Southern 21 | Mary 25
Mary opened the second set with a lead, and Missouri Southern would work to close their deficit. The Lions would close the gap two points with back-to-back kills from
Fernanda Merancio (18-16). The Marauders would snatch a three-point rally for the second set.
Set 3: Missouri Southern 21 | Mary 25
The Lions would hold the edge to the Marauders, as neither team took a heavy advantage. Mary would push a three-point jump to take the edge and would hold it for the remainder of the set.

Both teams traded points, and the Lions would capitalize on an Eagles service error to take a two-point advantage with kills from
Alana Moesch and
Fernanda Merancio. The Eagles would retaliate with a rally to hold the advantage and take the second set.
Set 3: Missouri Southern 23 | Chadron State 25
Missouri Southern and Chadron would keep pace with the other, trading the lead numerous times throughout the set. The Lions would have 16 kills compared to the Eagles 14. Chadron would snatch the remaining two points to take the set and the match.
