Tahlequah, Okla. - The Missouri Southern baseball team wrapped up their three game series with Northeastern State Sunday afternoon, playing in Tahlequah. Completing the series sweep, the Lions picked up an 11-1 victory in seven innings due to the run rule. Thanks to the win, MSSU now sits at 33-10 (20-7 MIAA) on the year.

Drew Townsend kicked things off with a double down the left field line, then advanced to third on a wild pitch. Ethan Clark then walked, and Henry Kusiak reached on an error. The scoreless tie was broken with a ground out RBI from Will Doherty, then Garrett Rice made it 3-0 with a double to left field.

With the bases loaded in the third, Treghan Parker picked up an RBI after being hit by a pitch. Again, the bases were loaded in the fourth, Garrett Rice then drove in two runs on a single to left-center. Later in the inning, Nate Mieszkowski also drove in a pair with a single, then he stole second which allowed Drew Davis to come home to make it 9-0 in favor of the Lions.

Northeastern State plated a run in the fifth, but Missouri Southern was quick to respond, as Garrett Rice hit a home run to left field. Ethan Clark homered to left in the seventh, making it an 11-1 score. The Riverhawks were unable to score again, ending early due to the run rule.

Garrett Rice had another 5 RBI day, his third time doing so in the past six games. He was 3-4 at the plate, recording a double and a home run. Nate Mieszkowski went 2-3 at the plate, recording his 200th career hit in the process. Along with those hits, he drove in 2 runs and had a walk.
