Joplin, Mo. - The Missouri Southern Women's basketball team (18-4, 14-2 MIAA) host the Jennies of Central Missouri after winning their 15th-straight game of the season at home against Lincoln, 76-57. Previous to the Blue Tigers, the Lions defeated Central Oklahoma, 64-58, and Newman, 77-37, on the road. This is the second time the Lions are seeing the Jennies this season, handing the Jennies their first loss of the season on December 14 in Warrensburg, 78-66.

The MIAA conference leading Missouri Southern Lions host the Jennies of Central Missouri after winning their 15th-straight game of the season at home against Lincoln, 76-57. Previous to the Blue Tigers, the Lions defeated Central Oklahoma, 64-58, and Newman, 77-37, on the road. This is the second time the Lions are seeing the Jennies this season, handing the Jennies their first loss of the season on December 14 in Warrensburg, 78-66.
Kaitlin Hunnicutt led the Lions with 20 points (6-11 FG, 5-8 3P) and 5 steals in the victory over the Blue Tigers.
Ryan Franklin and
Brandi Hudson both finished in double-digits as well, scoring 10 points each.

Scouting the Jennies
The Jennies of Central Missouri travel to Joplin after a 15-6 (9-6 MIAA) start to their season. The Jennies most recently lost on the road against Pittsburg State, 82-80. Previous to the Gorillas, the Jennies went 1-2 at home losing two straight to Northwest Missouri, 76-68, and Missouri Western, 77-69, and closed the home stand with a win over Lincoln, 77-44.
Leading the scoring for Central Missouri is Brooke Littrell, a 6-2 Redshirt Junior Forward. Through 21 games, Littrell leads the MIAA in scoring with 19.1 points per game on 48.6% shooting from the field and 31.6% from beyond the arch. Littrell is also a three-time MIAA Athlete of the Week.
One other Jennie averages double-digits, which is Olivia Nelson who averages 14.8 points per game. The leading rebounder for Central Missouri is also Littrell, who averages 8.7 rebounds per game.
