Joplin, Mo. - The Missouri Southern women's soccer team hosted the Roge State University Hillcats on the annual Pink Game. The match ended in a 0-0 draw. The Lions moved to a 1-5-4 overall and 0-2-4 in the MIAA.
First Half
The Lions goalkeeper Bella made crucial saves in the 23rd and 26th minutes, denying close-range shots from the Hillcats.
Sam Ayala opened up the offensive push with a shot on goal, and
Presley Whitmire followed in the 29th minute with her own. The score remained 0-0 heading into halftime.
Second Half
Missouri Southern controlled the ball with 15 minutes left on the clock. In the last five minutes of play, the Lions pressured the Hillcats, with

Jauliana Valceus taking critical shots on the net.
Missouri Southern's defensive line limited the Hillcats to just three shots on goal in the second half.
Bella Smith finished the match with four saves, securing her third shutout.
