St. Joseph, Mo. - The Missouri Southern women's soccer team traveled to St. Joseph, Mo. to take on the Griffons of Missouri Western on Sunday, October 27. The match ended in a 1-0 victory for the Griffons as the Lions moved to a 1-10-4 (0-7-2 MIAA) record on the season.
First HalfÂ
Bella Smith had eight saves throughout the first half. A late goal from the Griffons would give them the lead before halftime.
Second Half
Preslee Zeigler and
Payton Rayos both had a shot on goal to tie, but were saved by the Griffon's goalkeeper.
Bella Smith added five more saves to her total in a shutout second half, but the Griffons first half goal would earn the victory.
