Emporia, Kan. - The Missouri Southern women's soccer team traveled to Emporia on Sunday, October 13, to take on the Hornets of Emporia State. The match ended in a 4-2 victory for the Hornets. The Lions moved to a 1-7-4 (0-4-2 MIAA) record on the season.
First Half
The Hornets took a four goal lead before the end of the first half.
Second Half
Abigail Pasternak subbed into goalkeeper for the first time of the season and had a clean sheet with four saves. In the 58th minute,
Parker Croft would score over the hands of the goalkeeper off a corner kick by
Nathalia Luiz.
Nathalia Luiz would add another assist in the 67th minute, passing to the right side of the goalkeeper's box for Kennady Williams to net a goal in the left side of the net. Both goals would be the first of the season for Croft and Williams.
