Joplin, Mo. - The MSSU Women's Soccer team hosted their first matchup at Hal Bodon Field against the Jennies of Central Missouri Friday, September 16, which resulted in a 2-0 loss.
The Lions held tough on defense in the first half of play, only allowing one goal to the Jennies.Â
Sofia Fatino was able to find her way to a shot late in the second period, but just missed out left of the goal.
Jordan Bell had shot on goal in the 80th minute, but was saved by the Central Missouri goalkeeper.
Angel Chase held her own at goalkeeper for the Lions saving seven total shots, six of which were shots on goal, but allowed two to find the back of the net securing the 2-0 win for Central Missouri.
The Women's Soccer team moves to 0-4-1 (0-0-0 MIAA) on the season and will host the final game of their current two game homestand on Sunday, September 17th, against Missouri Western at 2:00 pm at Hal Bodon Field.
