Bolivar, Mo. - The Missouri Southern track and field programs ended the week with the conclusion of the SBU Invitational on Saturday Apr. 1st from Plaster Stadium.
Overall the Lions had six event wins as the men's program finished first with 130 points and the women's program finishing fourth with 88.5 points.
Hurdles
- For the women, Kiara Smith won the 100m event with an NCAA Qualifying time of 13.70Â seconds after qualifying for the finals with a time of 13.67. Cornesia Calhoun-White finished fourth with a time of 14.50 after qualifying with a time of 14.51.
- For the men, Maksym Andurukhiv won the 110m event with an NCAA Qualifying time of 14.42 seconds after qualifying for the finals with a time of 14.70. Malachi Pipkin finished second with a time of 14.52 after qualifying for the finals with a time of 14.37. JaDarius Pigg finished fourth in the premlinary race with a time of 14.85 seconds but did not finish in the finals.
Hammer Throw
- Peyton Barton won the men's event with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 65.95m and is the third best mark in program history.
Javelin
- For the women, Keilee Johnson won the event with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 51.41m tied for the fifth best mark in program history. Mackenzie Meyer finished 20th with a mark of 35.94m.
- For the men, Nathan Kovis finished second in the event with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 66.30m. Logan Bell finished fifth with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 60.75m and Luke Brumit finished 15th with a mark of 53.06m.
Triple Jump
- For the men, Taris Jackson won the event with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 15.08m and Peyton McBride finished fourth with a mark of 14.67m.
- For the women, Jennifer Okeke finished second with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 12.03m and Lillian Hart finished fifth with a mark of 10.78m.Â
800m Run
4x100m Relay
- The relay team of Smith, Overstreet, Calhoun-White and Wallace finished second in the women's event with a school record and NCAA Qualifying time of 46.18 seconds.
Pole Vault
Discus
- Peyton Barton finished second in the men's event with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 52.81m and Connor Boyd finished 15th with a mark of 42.55m.
Shot Put
- For the women, Samariae Bonds finished second in the event with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 14.31m.
- For the men, Cedric Pearson finished fourth in the event with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 16.62m.Â
Long Jump
- For the men, Jon Watts finished third in the event with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 7.47m. Peyton McBride and Taris Jackson finished 15th and 16th with marks of 6.65m and 6.56m.
- For the women, Lilian Hart finished 15th in the event with a mark of 5.14m.
4x400m Relay

- For the women, Chardae Overstreet finished fourth in the event with a time of 24.84 seconds and LaNea Wallace finished eighth with a time of 25.47.
- For the men, Malachi Pipkin finished fourth with a time of 22.02 seconds, Jon Watts finished 11th at 22.43, Kyzer Vega-Gann finished 17th at 22.88 and Jacob Breedlove finished 20th at 23.01.
High Jump
- Rylee Darnell finished fourth in the women's event with a mark of 1.55m.
