Kansas City, Mo. - Missouri Southern junior sprinter
Kiara Smith has ben named the MIAA Co-Outddor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday Mar. 28th.
Smith won the 100m hurdles at the ESU Relays with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 13.51 seconds to set a new meet and MSSU record in the event. Her time is the currently the fastest in the MIAA and Division II this season.
The Lions will be back in action this week with individuals going to three meets beginning with the Friends University Spring Open on Thursday Mar. 30th, the WashU Invite on Mar. 31st and Apr. 1st and the SBU Invite on Apr. 1st.
