Emporia, Kan. - The Missouri Southern track and field programs wrapped up the Miner Invitational and ESU Relays in Rolla, Mo. hosted by Missouri S&T at Allgood-Bailey Stadium and the Relays hosted by Emporia State at Francis G. Welch Stadium on Saturday Mar. 25th.
Overall the Lions won nine events and had 16 NCAA Qualifying marks. The men at the ESU Relays won the meet with 84 points and the women finished sixth with 61 points. One school record was broken and six new top-ten marks occurred across the two meets.
ESU Relays
100m Hurdles
- For the women, Kiara Smith won the event breaking the meet and school record with an NCAA Qualifying time 13.51 seconds. Cornesia Calhoun-White placed fifth with a time of 14.49.
Discus Throw
- For the men, Peyton Barton and Cedric Pearson finished first and second in the event with NCAA Qualifying marks of 53.42m and 52.04m. Connor Boyd finished ninth with a mark of 47.14m.
- For the women, Mallory Huber finished fifth in the event with a mark of 39.98m.
Hammer Throw
- For the men, Barton won the event and Boyd finished third with NCAA Qualifying marks of 63.64m and 61.82m. Barton's throw is the seventh best mark in program history.
- For the women, Mallory Huber finished fourth in the event with a mark of 51.65m
110m Hurdles
- For the men, Malachi Pipkin and Maksym Andurukhiv finished first and second the event with NCAA Qualifying times of 14.35 and 14.38 seconds. Pipkin's time is the third fastest in program history and Andurukhiv's the fifth best.
400m Dash
Shot Put
- For the women, Samariae Bonds won the event with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 14.12m.
- For the men, Pearson finished second in the event with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 18.34m.
Javelin
- For the men, Rajheim Carby won the event with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 68.91m while Nathan Kovis finished eighth with a mark of 57.20m. Carby's mark is the seventh best in program history.
- For the women, Elizabeth Pomatto finished seventh in the event with a mark of 43.52m as Kaylee Rampani finished 13th with a mark of 40.40m.
1500m Run
- For the women, Kelie Henderson finished second in the event with a time of 4:41.00 minutes.
High Jump
- For the men, Brendan Jewell finished second in the event with a mark of 2.05m as Luke Brumit finished fourth with a mark of 2.02m
400m Hurdles
- For the men, Simon Siebert finished 11th in the event with a time of 56.14 seconds.

Long Jump
- For the men, Jon Watts won the event with an NCAA Qualifying Mark of 7.49m the sixth best mark in program history. Semrad also competed in the event finishing 22nd with a mark of 5.88m.
- For the women, Lillian Hart finished ninth in the event with a mark of 5.16m.
Triple Jump
- For the men, Taris Jackson won the event with an NCAA Qualifying mark of 14.97m and Peyton McBride finished second with a mark of 14.60m.
High Jump
- For the women, Hart finished fifth in the event with a mark of 1.52m.
