Joplin, Mo. – The Missouri Southern softball program has had its schedule altered due to weather in the St. Joseph area. 
 
The Lions were originally slated to begin the Fairfield Classic in St. Joseph tomorrow but due to weather forecasted in the area the tournament has shifted to Maryville for the Lions. In the Northwest Missouri pod the Lions will face off with Concordia – St. Paul and Winona State on Saturday and Sunday.
 
Southern begins the Fairfield Classic now against Concordia – St. Paul, Saturday at 2:00pm and wraps up the day against Winona State at 4:00pm approximately. Sunday begins with the Lions taking on Winona State at 9:00am before playing Concordia – St. Paul to conclude the tournament at 1:00pm.

The Lions will now play on Monday as well as #21 Minnesota State will travel down to Joplin to play a double header at 11:00am and 1:00pm, as the two teams were scheduled to begin the Fairfield Classic in the original schedule.
