Joplin, Mo. -- Missouri Southern senior lefty Zach Parish has earned another Regional Pitcher of the Year award as Parish was given that honor by the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA), the organization announced today. 

Parish earns his second regional award as he was also the Regional Pitcher of the Year from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, earning that honor last week. Parish was a first-team All-Region pick by the Baseball Writers, as well as the D2CCA. 

Parish was the MIAA Pitcher of the Year this year, as well as a first-team All-MIAA pick. He became the NCAA Division II all-time leader in strikeouts this year as he struck out eight in a win against Rogers State. In his career, Parish now has 488 strikeouts. Parish tied his MSSU single-season record with 136 this year.

This season, Parish leads the MIAA and ranks third nationally in strikeouts. He is second in the MIAA and third nationally in wins, while ranking first in the MIAA and sixth nationally in WHIP. He ranks first in the MIAA and eighth nationally in hits allowed per nine innings, while ranking first in the MIAA and second nationally in ERA and first in the MIAA and third nationally in starts. Currently Parish is the active career leader in all of college baseball (d1, d2, d3) in wins, strikeouts, innings pitched and starts. 

Parish's name now goes on the national ballot for All-America consideration.
