Men's Golf Finish In 9th At The MULE

Warrensburg, Mo.  – The Missouri Southern men's golf team finished in ninth place after today's final round at The MULE hosted by Central Missouri at Mule National Golf Club.
 
Southern shot a 291 in the second round that was finished this morning and a 292 in the final round this afternoon to finish at 869 today. Washburn won the team title with a total of 850, while Central Missouri was second at 853. Rogers State placed third, followed by Missouri Western, Sioux Falls, Northeastern State, Bemidji State, Central Missouri (B) the Lions and Missouri – St. Louis to round out the top ten.
 
Central Oklahoma was 11th, followed by Minnesota State, Lindenwood, Upper Iowa, Winona State, Drury, Concordia St. -Paul, Augustana, Newman, Fort Hays State, Minnesota-Crookston, Lincoln, and William Jewell to round out the team scores.
 
Southern shot a total of 11 birdies in the final round and picked up an eagle from Ben Marckmann in his opening hole of the round.
 
Logan Greer shot a three-under 67 in round two and an even par 70 in the final round to finish at 213, tied with his teammate Connor Williamson for tenth in the individual standings. Williamson had a 73 and a 72 today. Ben Epperly finished at 222, while Marckmann shot a 225 and Jonathan Sanchez shot a 230.
 
The Lions will be back in action on April 19-20 as Southern will play host to the 2021 MIAA Championships at Shangri-La Country Club in Monkey Island, Okla.
